Description

ARMOR Rx™ is an excellent product to use if the Slime Coat and/or scales of your koi fish has been damaged caused by abrasions from rocks, netting, injecting, parasites or breeding activity in your koi fish pond.

  • ARMOR Rx helps protect the “Slime Coat” by forming a synthetic slime coat until your koi fish is able to rebuild it’s own slime coat
  • ARMOR’S unique formula restores the damaged “Slime Coat” with a natural double “Slime Coat” protection
  • ARMOR’S fast acting protective coating with vitamin E promotes the healing of damaged scales, skin, fins and reduces stress
  • ARMOR Rx does not hinder your fish’s gills or breathing
  • ARMOR Rx should be used anytime your koi fish are being handled
  • ARMOR Rx will remove chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals

Directions & Dosage

Standard Dose: Use 5 mL (1 teaspoon) per 20 U.S. gallons (75 L) of pond water.

  • Estimate your pond volume or the amount of new water being added.
  • Shake bottle well before each use.
  • Add the correct amount of Armor to a bucket or container of tap water, stir, then slowly pour around the pond or into the return flow.
  • If dosing directly to the pond, add in an area of strong circulation.

Quick Dosage Guide (Standard Dose)

  • 100 gallons – 25 mL (approximately 1 fl oz)
  • 500 gallons – 125 mL (approximately 4 fl oz)
  • 1,000 gallons – 250 mL (approximately 8 fl oz)

When to Use Armor

  • Starting up a new pond or quarantine tank
  • During water changes or when topping off with tap water
  • When adding new koi or pond fish
  • After netting, handling, transporting, or injecting fish
  • Any time fish show damaged slime coat, frayed fins, or signs of stress

High Chlorine / Heavy Use Situations

  • In areas with very high chlorine or chloramine levels, the dosage can be safely increased or repeated up to 5× the standard dose.
  • Monitor fish closely; if any stress is observed, increase aeration and perform a small partial water change.

Measuring Tips

  • The bottle cap (on most sizes) holds approximately 5 mL when filled level, which equals 1 teaspoon.
  • Use multiple capfuls for larger ponds, or a marked measuring cup for convenience.
